Great for DIY face masks, body scrubs or toothpaste
Naturally detoxifying with no additives or fillers
This finely ground activated charcoal powder is a natural detox that doesn't require harsh scrubbing, stripping, or filler ingredients. Made from pure, ultra-absorbent charcoal, it's known for binding to impurities like dirt and oil and lifting them gently so your skin and teeth feel fresh again.
It's non-abrasive, which makes it ideal for whitening teeth without damaging enamel. Add it to your toothbrush, mix it into a face mask, or whip up a DIY body scrub. Just a heads up: it's powerful (and a little messy), so open carefully and avoid letting the powder settle into porous surfaces or fabrics.

Ask Away
We’ve got the FAQs covered. But if you’re still stuck, we’re only a message away.
Is Organikaís Activated Charcoal safe for brushing your teeth?
Our charcoal is a non-abrasive power with a diameter of less than 0.074mm per particle. On the Mohs Hardness Scale, your tooth enamel measures a 5. Our powder is the finest grade and only measures a 1-2, therefore as it is softer it will not damage your teeth. It does not adsorb the calcium salts of which your tooth enamel is made.
Is hardwood charcoal better than bamboo or coconut charcoal?
Depending on what you are using charcoal for, they all have slightly different pore sizes for adsorbing toxins. Hardwood charcoal like our Activated Charcoal is great for adsorbing larger molecules, so works great for discolourations and stainings. Best for brightening skin and whitening teeth. But itís totally different from your BBQ charcoal briquettes - save those for cooking!
Is your Activated Charcoal tested on animals?
This product is cruelty-free. At Organika, we do not test any of our products on animals.

Get a pearly white smile by using activated charcoal for teeth whitening
Everyone wants a sparkling white smile, but with the foods we eat and the beverages we drink it can be hard to keep your teeth looking their brightest. There are a lot of natural ways to achieve a whiter smile. Regular brushing, flossing and visits to your dentist all help, as well as avoiding smoking, which can cause teeth to yellow. Certain foods and drinks can also contribute to teeth staining such as:
Coffee
Tea
Red wine
Berries
And tomato sauce
Avoiding or brushing after eating or drinking these foods can help to reduce visible staining on your teeth. Other methods like brushing with baking soda, or doing oil pulling are easy and affordable ways to help whiten your smile. Our favourite way however, is using activated charcoal for teeth whitening. Organika® Activated Charcoal Powder is an all-natural, pure powder that can be mixed with water to create an easy whitening alternative for your teeth! It can also be used to create a homemade face mask! Even better, it’s ecologically sourced from sustainably sourced hardwood/beech poplar trees, ensuring that no old growth forests are affected. One questions we get asked is if its safe for your enamel? On the MOH’s scale of hardness your tooth enamel measures a 5, our powder is the finest grade and only measures a 1-2, thus, it will not damage your teeth, and does not adsorb the calcium salts your tooth enamel is made of. However, we do recommend you only do this 2-4x a month. Activated charcoal powder mixed with water creates a paste that can be brushed onto teeth to help reduce visible staining. It turns your whole smile black for a few minutes while brushing, which can be quite frightening, but don't worry! Just continue by rinsing with water, then brush your teeth with toothpaste as you normally would. Your smile will look bright, white and beautiful!
Activated Charcoal for Teeth Whitening Recipe
Ingredients:
1/2 tsp Organika® Activated Charcoal Powder
3-5 drops of water
Directions:
Combine 1/2 tsp of Organika® Activated Charcoal Powder with 3-5 drops of water in a small bowl until it forms a paste. Using a toothbrush, brush the activated charcoal paste onto your teeth for 1-2 minutes. Rinse with water, and brush your teeth with your regular toothpaste. Many people notice a whiter smile immediately after use, but for best results, try brushing with activated charcoal a couple of times per week. Tip: Activated Charcoal can be a bit messy to use and may stain surfaces or fabrics. Avoid using white cloths or towels to clean up. Make sure to clean up any bowls or surfaces directly after use.
