What are methylated B vitamins and are all the B vitamins methylated?

Methylated B vitamins refer to the active form of B vitamins. These are the forms that our body can directly use without the need to convert them. This could be useful to individuals who have a hard time converting non-methylated forms. Not all B vitamins are methylated, some examples such as Vitamin B1 (Thiamine), Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin) and B3 (Niacin) do not need to be in their methylated form, as our body can absorb these in their unmethylated form. For our product, our vitamin B12 is methylated (methylcobalamin).

How do methylated B vitamins differ from regular B vitamins?

Methylated B vitamins are the active/usable forms of vitamins ? the body doesn't need to convert them. This makes them more bioavailable compared to regular B vitamins. Whereas regular B vitamins need to be converted by the body first into their active forms, as this could be an issue for individuals who have problems with converting forms due to genetic factors.

What benefits do methylated B12 and folate provide over other forms?

In general, these are the active forms so our body can use them immediately. People who have genetic mutations can use these for better absorption and bioavailability.
