Fret not, though: here's a delicious and better-for-you alternative, courtesy of our friend Mykaela at Erb & Spice! Fiber-rich, nutritious and filling sweet potatoes meet antioxidant and anti-inflammatory turmeric... plus it tastes delicious! What else could you ask for?

Turmeric Sweet Potato fries

Ingredients
  • 1 large sweet potato 
  • 1 tbsp. avocado or olive oil
  • 1 tbsp. Turmeric Mylk Latte powder
  • 1/2 tbsp. tapioca flour or potato starch
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
How-to
  1. Preheat the oven to 400º F. 
  2. Cut the potato into approximately 1/4 inch thick sticks. Coat with the oil, Turmeric Mylk Latte powder, flour and garlic powder. 
  3. Bake for 35-45 minutes, until golden brown and crisping.

Our final amped up oats recipe will leave you feeling warm and fuzzy all day long. Turmeric is the ultimate addition to any diet. Why? It contains curcumin, which is an active anti-inflammatory compound. Most doctors agree that “inflammation is the root of all illness” meaning that the more anti-inflammatory foods you can incorporate into your diet, the lower your risk is of all sorts of diseases! Ingredients: ½ cup whole rolled oats 1 cup water ½ tbsp. Organika Turmeric Mylk Latte Powder 1 tbsp. coconut flakes ¼ tsp. cinnamon Sliced banana Optional: nut butter for drizzling How to: Place oats and water in a small pot on stove top with lid on Cook on medium heat until boiling Once boiling, remove lid and stir frequently until water and oats are well combined Remove from heat and place in a serving bowl Add the Turmeric Mylk Latte powder, mixing throughout oats Add all other toppings and assemble to your liking Learn all about what makes oats an amazing breakfast food here!
